About Danny

Danny D’Alessandro is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and singer-songwriter originally from Cleveland, OH. He has over 20 years experience as a musician and performs mainly on the saxophone, banjo, and flute. Currently, he resides in Telluride, Colorado where he is an active member of the musical community. Danny studied Saxophone Performance at the University of Dayton under Dr. Willie Morris III for nearly two years before relocating to southwest Colorado.

Upon moving in 2011, he immediately found his niche within the local arts scene. Since then, he has been performing regularly with a multitude of bands. His ability to play different instruments in multiple genres makes him stand out in the area. It is not unusual to see him playing reggae with local band Niceness, picking banjo and singing with the Cottonwood Trio, or showcasing his saxophone skills in the Speakeasy Jazz Combo; sometimes all in the same day!

This diverse musical skill set paired with a passion for making unique original arrangements makes him an asset for any musical engagement. Due to his adaptability, Danny specializes in music that caters to weddings and special events. In addition, he gives private lessons on a handful of different instruments and often assists with concerts and events put on by the local grade school and high school. Outside of his musical profession, Danny practices massage as an LMT. When he’s not playing music or giving a massage, you can find him skiing, hiking, camping, or out listening to live music.
